Stockport County Football Club has rolled out a new careers website in partnership with Venn to spotlight roles and culture as the club builds for the future. The platform went live this week and serves as a central hub for vacancies, behind-the-scenes insights, and career stories from staff.

What does the new careers site offer?

The platform puts Stockport County’s departments, benefits, and working environment on display. Prospective hires can browse current vacancies, read employee stories, and get a feel for the club’s values before applying. Ellie O’Connor, Head of People, said the site reflects the club’s growth both on and off the pitch.

Why this matters for Stockport County

The club sits third in League One with 77 points from 46 games and a +13 goal difference. A recent 2-0 win over Bristol City on 17 July keeps the Hatters in the hunt, though they trail leaders Lincoln by 26 points. Brian Whigham, CEO of Venn, called the site a tool to attract talent who want more than just a job description.

How applicants will use it

The careers site lists openings across every area of the club and includes a streamlined recruitment flow. It also outlines long-term vision and development paths, helping candidates decide if Stockport County fits their goals. The launch fits the club’s push to strengthen its employer brand ahead of the new season.

Stockport County’s next fixture is at home against Preston on 1 August.
