Blackburn Rovers are in advanced talks to sign Jayden Fevrier in a permanent deal from Stockport County, according to the Lancashire Telegraph. The 23-year-old right-winger is set to sign at Ewood Park, boosting the Rovers squad ahead of their final pre-season match against Huddersfield Town this weekend.

Why it matters for Stockport County

What comes next?

Fever spent the second half of last season on loan at Charlton Athletic, scoring twice in 11 Championship experiences. He is a right-winger by trade but has also featured at wing-back. With Ryoya Morishita currently Rovers’ only option in that position, it was an area that needed to be strengthened this summer. Fevrier has Championship experienced and, at 23, has room to develop. Rovers are paying a fee for the ex-West Ham United Academy graduate, though unknown at this stage. Stockport were open to Fevrier departing after allowing him to join Nathan Jones’ side in January and he will again test himself at Championship level.

League standing (final 2025 table -- new season not yet under way): 3rd in League One, 77 pts, 22W-11D-13L from 46 games, recent form WLWLD. Goals this season: 71 scored, 58 conceded (+13 goal difference). Title race: 26 points behind leaders Lincoln. Next fixture: vs Reading (away, 2027-02-27) (12th in the table).

The deal could be wrapped up soon, and Fevrier will be looking to make an impact at Ewood Park. With the Rovers squad bolstered, they will be looking to make a strong start to the season and challenge for promotion.
