Stockport County goalkeeper Ben Hinchliffe has left the club after 10 years, with four players departing following the end of the 2025-26 League One season. The 38-year-old goalkeeper made a total of 427 appearances, keeping 157 clean sheets during that period. He also won three promotions during that time taking them from the National League North to League One. "When I bought the club six years ago, we had six full-time members of staff, and a number one goalkeeper who was working part-time as a HGV driver - working long hours, yet still producing outstanding performances on the pitch," County owner Mark Stott said. "Six years on, the club has just been to Wembley after finishing third again in League One, and that same guy was still wearing the number one shirt for our club."
